Welcome to my website!
I am Marius Reika, English to Lithuanian technical translator. I have 9 years of experience in the technical translation field, and a BA in English philology (Lithuania, Vilnius University).
Besides translation, I provide services of software and website localisation, as well as of editing and proofreading.
My work philosophy

I accept only those projects that are within my expertise and whose deadlines I am able to meet.
In addition, I translate only into my mother tongue. -
I ask questions. This is to ensure the best quality possible and eliminate any doubts, that I might have regarding some terms in the text.

Quality assurance
- Consistent terminology is ensured by using computer assisted translation tools (Trados, Déjà Vu X3, MemoQ), which guarantee that one term will not have several different translations, no numbers / spaces will be missing or added by mistake.
- I edit and proofread the completed translation first in the bilingual format and afterwards in monolingual, which helps to ensure a natural flow of the target text, without being bound to the source document.
- I always do a thorough research and ensure that the right and valid Lithuanian terms are used.
- I am fluid in Spanish, understand French and Russian, and in case of complicated terms, I check existing translations / helpful material / multilingual dictionaries in these languages to note any peculiarities, and to find any additional information, which would help to find the exact translation of a particular term.
